- Updated Inspiration
Experience the Danish concept of “hygge” in this cozy and exclusive treetop hotel near Mariager Fjord in Denmark, where architect Sigurd Larsen has wrapped a cabin around a living tree in the forest. Created for Løvtag, the room is perched eight metres above ground, and is the first of nine other cabins that will house a bedroom for up to four guests. Comfy interiors, full-height glazing and a rooftop terrace are all geared at maximizing the real attraction and “luxury” of the hotel—nature itself, and the peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and mass tourism.
