Of the many challenges posed by climate change, undoubtedly one of the most significant is the management of water resources. For three days this November, experts from different fields will showcase their most innovative research and projects at Iwater, the International Integrated Water Cycle Show, organized by Fira Barcelona.

The event is also intended to provide a space for debate. For the first time, it will host the Water Economics Forum, where experts from around the world will meet to discuss issues like the need to ensure long-term water security, the role of water in the circular economy and sustainable development, or the applications of artificial intelligence in water management, among other issues.

According to Angel Celorrio, director of Iwater, the Water Economy Forum “is an event that shares our values and goals. We believe it is necessary to promote the dissemination of knowledge, as well as networking among entrepreneurs, experts, scientists and researchers in order to address the sustainable development of the water sector together.”

Iwater 2018 will feature lectures, round table discussions and the presentation of applications, as well as examples of best practices in water management.

The show will be held simultaneously with three other events that share synergies: the Smart City Expo World Congress, on smart cities; Smart Mobility, on sustainable mobility; and the Circular Economy European Summit, which deals with the circular economy.
