Karsten Huneck
London, UK and Berlin, GermanyKarsten Huneck is a partner of the architectural studio KHBT and the experimental network OSA, Office for Subversive Architecture, and a Senior Lecturer at the Manchester School of Architecture. Previously he was an Associate Professor at ESA Ecole Speciale d‘Architecture in Paris where he taught for 6 years. He obtained his degree at TU Darmstadt in Germany and was an assistant to well-known artist Prof. Ottmar Hörl with whom he completed a Joinery Apprenticeship. At OSA and KHBT London and Berlin, he is responsible for pioneering projects that lie at the intersection of architecture and art, creating works of local and international significance. In 2009 osa/KHBT won the first ever special award in UK’s prestigious BD Young Architect of the Year Award.
