João Luís Carrilho da Graça
Lisbon, PortugalJoão Luís Carrilho da Graça is an architect with an office based in Lisbon since 1977. He earned his degree from the Escola Superior de Belas Artes de Lisboa and he has been a professor at numerous universities such as the Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade de Lisboa, where he was awarded Doctor Honoris Causa. He has also taught at the Universidad de Navarra, Pamplona and Cornell University, New York. His work has been published widely and has received many awards and distinctions including, the FAD Prize and the Leon Battista Alberti Prize from the Politecnico di Milano. His work has been nominated for the EU Prize for Contemporary Architecture-Mies van der Rohe Award on numerous occasions.
